Three musicians, two generations and a shared passion for the blues.
Francisco Simón and Mingo Balaguer first met over thirty years ago, when they were members of Tonky Blues Band and Caledonia Blues Band, respectively, two pioneering bands in the Spanish blues scene. Since then, they have shared stages across Spain and beyond, building a long history of musical collaboration.
Years later, Mingo met guitarist Pablo Sanpa, with whom he went on to form Mingo-Sanpa & Bárez Bros. Pablo’s long-standing admiration for Francisco, together with the musical connection between the two guitarists, eventually led to this project, bringing together three musicians from different generations and backgrounds.
The result is a powerful, dynamic live show featuring two distinctive guitar styles alongside Mingo’s vocals and harmonica. Their repertoire blends the essence of classic blues with an energetic, personal and contemporary approach.
