Mingo Balaguer & High Class is a blues quartet led by singer and harmonica player Mingo Balaguer, alongside three distinctive musicians: Jon Aira (guitar), Fredi Peláez (Hammond organ) and Martí Elias (drums).
One of the band’s defining features is the absence of a bass player: the Hammond organ itself provides the bass lines, creating a tight, powerful sound with plenty of depth and character.
Inspired by classic and contemporary American blues, with influences such as Rick Estrin & The Nightcats, the band blends driving grooves, electrifying riffs and infectious energy.
On stage, the musicians’ chemistry, love of improvisation and sheer enjoyment of playing come across in a powerful, distinctive live show steeped in the true spirit of the blues.
